Grand Council for California, Union League of America letter : San Francisco, to J.A. Bailey in Sierra Valley : ALS, 1864 Dec. 23.

Letter written and signed by two officers of the council, Alfred Barstow and S.H. Parker, cautioning Bailey of infiltration by a "treasonable organization" into the league, and advising him to prepare his local council for possible resulting armed conflict.
